Adventures in Print Land.... update April 08 2014

Many events have happened and more to come. Art at the Source Open Studios are over, In October the Studio will be open again. On Labor Day weekend I will be at the Sausalito Atr Festival for my fourth year, booth # 302. I will be printing my new large block at Roadworks, San Francisco Center for the Book on Sept. 27

I will be teaching a wood engraving class at the Center for the book in Nov.   SFCB.org

My prints are cut from wood and linoleum blocks and printed on one of my vintage Vandercook printing presses. A separate block is cut for each color and registered to the main image on the press. The wood engravings are engraved on old lead type high blocks of either boxwood or maple endgrain blocks. The larger prints are printed on a Olivero Bendini Etching press in my Studio.  I learned to engrave during a five day class under Barry Moser in 1982. I teach classes at the San Francisco Center for the Book on occasion and will be teaching techniques in my own studio in Sebastopol, CA, soon.
